One of the biggest requests we have had since releasing Ploxel is an alternative payment gateway to Stripe when taking payments through Ploxel due to the complexity of having to sign up for Stripe. As a result, we are happy to announce we have now released PayPal support. With PayPal you can get payments paid directly to your PayPal account without any waiting times, the same as using Stripe, with the same low affordable fees. PayPal is an electronic commerce (e-commerce) company that facilitates payments between parties through online funds transfers. PayPal allows customers to establish an account on its website, which is connected to a user's credit card or checking account
To setup up PayPal, go into your Box Office and then click the Payment Systems option on the menu. From here select PayPal where it will take you through the setup process. Alternatively you can just visit https://www.ploxel.com/box-office/payments/paypal
When using Stripe we take your fees immediately when making a payment. Sadly with PayPal they do not support this feature so we have to collect the fees ourselves. As a result, we require a payment card to be saved on your account so we can take the fees from your account on a monthly basis - we will not charge your card for any other purposes.
Ploxel uses Stripe to process any payments for your booking fees and we use their secure systems to save your card details. We do not personally store any of your card details. To find our more about Stripe please visit https://www.stripe.com.
Yes, you can use both Stripe and PayPal and we recommend you to do so, if you can, as it gives your customers a choice when purchasing tickets for your event. It is proven that having more purchasing options can improve purchase rates.

No, payments to PayPal work exactly the same as Stripe where your payments are paid directly to your account when your customer purchases a ticket. We do not have any control of your funds.
We are looking to impliment further payment gateways and are currently working on getting RazorPay to work for our Indian customers. If there is a payment gateway which you would like to be enabled on our system, then get in touch with our support team and we can see what we can do.
